Chinese New Year

I had the fun opportunity to sing a solo to a popular Chinese pop song (周杰伦 - 不能说的秘密)at the BYU Chinese New Year celebration. I had laryngitis, so it was a bit interesting. During the last verse I just belted my lungs out and pretty much screamed; it was definitely entertaining.
I forgot the lyrics a few times because I started learning the song a few days ago. At one point when I forgot the words I sang, "我不知道歌词", which means "I don't know the words". They laughed at that.

Half way through the song my buddy 胡宇 (Hoo Yoo) ran up on stage and gave me balloons LOL!! Into the mic I was like, "Wah, Hoo Yoo, 我爱你! ( I love you)". It was fun.

I saw a lot of friends there that I haven't hung with for a while.

Lucia!
Ma Xiyue!  A great friend and accompanist :)

Kurt is a friend from high school. He is one of the "Davis Sophomore" friends I had during my senior year in High School. We hang together everyday which is totally awesome. Love Kurt.

Some of my Chinese bros, or 哥们儿 rather.

Student Life: Surviving Monotony

School is crazy, I can't complain. I enjoy learning, though I wish I could do so with a little more time. I find myself sometimes studying just so I can get a good score on the test. I blame the system, but I'm grateful to take part in it.

Waiting for my buddy Ryan King and his band to come out.

Kexin Ma got baptized!  She is a freshman from China.  I tend to know a lot of the Chinese on campus.

Waiting for Kexin's baptism to start!

I went to Zupas with Scott and Nozomi because I got some gift cards from my awesome mom for Christmas to there.  After we sat we noticed two girls looking for a place to sit, but everywhere was full.  I half jokingly told Scott to ask them to sit with us.  Scott is awesome.  He went and invited them to sit with us.  We talked well over an hour and got their numbers.

Lucia is amazing.  I can't see how one couldn't love her.  I'm with her a lot.  We took this picture because we liked the sky.

Here we are at the Utah Valley University Asian New Year celebration.  I participated in a game on stage where they asked us questions about China.  I won a gift card that can be used in the UVU food court.  I later gave it to my roommate who goes to school there.
